Hickory Stick Bar-B-Q was founded in 1976 by the late Johnnie Jones and is now owned and operated by his son, Mark Jones. Mark has been working in barbeque since the age of 14 and has perfected the art of smoking meats over many years. He is the only one who cooks our meats to ensure they meet his standards and the customer’s satisfaction.
He and his wife Marci have two beautiful daughters and four amazing grandchildren. In the early years, Johnnie created a secret sauce recipe that is still being used today. The sauce, along with quality smoked meats, large portions, and excellent service has earned us a top place in the Texas barbeque scene for several decades!
Hickory Stick Bar-B-Q has been featured in D Magazine, Fort Worth Weekly, Texas Monthly, Fort Worth Magazine, and Fort Worth Star Telegram and most recently we were awarded the title of Best BBQ restaurant in Fort Worth!
We have grown from a humble one room restaurant to four rooms that include two dining areas, our bar which serves beer, wine, and margaritas, and an indoor/outdoor patio that’s great for special events or parties and we offer catering as well.
For almost a half century, we have welcomed customers from across Texas, the US, and the world, to experience the best barbeque Texas has to offer! We are grateful to our loyal customers who have become family and their support will no doubt carry us for many years to come!
